The Re-conditioning Programme
You’re now ready to start on the re-conditioning ptogramme. This process activates the natural rejuvenation process of the skin by speeding up the exfoliation of dead and unhealthy skin to encourage cell renewal.
The re-conditioning programme takes between 3 to 6 months to complete, depending on individual skin type and condition.
For best results, it is advisable to follow these steps according to your skin type:
Skin Condition | Day / Night | Steps |
All Skin types | Day | 1,2,5 |
Night | 1,2,3,4 | |
Pimples / Acne skin | Day | 1,2,8,5 |
Night | 1,2,8,3,4 | |
Pigmentation skin (freckles, age spots etc) | Day | 1,2,3,5 |
Night | 1,2,3,4 |
As your skin is now ‘recon’ itself, it is best to take the following advice so as to achieve maximum benefits from your re-conditioning period:
- Do not apply any moisturizer, night cream, make-up, oil base products & anti-itch medication on your face
- Avoid sauna or swimming
- Do not perform peeling, massage & steaming on face
- Do not use hot water to wash face
- Do not peel or squeeze pimples or clogged pores
- Apply products with light strokes. Do not pat or rub your skin vigorously
- Do not apply products near corners of mouth and eye area
- If itch occurs, pat lightly with back of your hand. Do not scratch
Recon Reaction
Take heed of these useful suggestions which seek to help minimize your discomfort during the recon programme
REACTION | CAUSE | REMEDY |
Red Burning Sensation | Increased blood flow to the face due to stimulation of Vitamin A. This helps to build healthy new cells | The red burning sensation is common during the 1st month, thereafter; it will fade away gradually. If you’re very concerned with the redness, apply more No.5 sunscreen |
Prickling Sensation | This occurs when the products penetrate into your epidermis layer. This reaction will stop once your skin get used to it | Cool your face by blowing it with a fan. This will reduce the prickling sensation |
Puffy Skin | As cell metabolism increases, old cells are pushed to the surface of the epidermis layer, resulting in puffy looking skin | During the day, apply No. 6 DR’s Secret moisturizer and more of No. 5 DR’s Secret sunscreen to effectively rid the puffiness |
Skin Flaking | Skin flakes off due to cell regeneration. How long it takes for you to experience this depends on your skin type: Dry skin: 1st Week Normal Skin: 2nd week Oily skin: 3rd week | When cleansing your face, you can gently remove the skin flakes with lots of water – never attempt to peel them off forcefully |
Itchiness | Itchiness occurs when the horny layer is flaking off or when eruption occurs on the skin | Gently pat on the itchy area with the back of your hand. Never scratch. If the itchiness is unrelenting, apply No. 6 moisturizer to soothe it |
More Pimples or Pus | When skin cells are exfoliating, impurities are pushed out to the surface of the skin | Apply No. 8 pimple serum. Healing effect can be expected |
Darkening of Pigmentation | When dead cells are removed, the inner pigment layer will surface naturally. Skin will adjust itself to normal state when the pigmentation sheds off. | Apply additional layer of No. 3 skinlight and No.4 skinrecon on pigment areas to incease the metabolism of melanocyte |
